Escape The Narratives

It doesn't matter,
If the news you read is based on fact or not.
As Marshall McLuhan said,
"The medium is the message"
Can't you see what their aim is?

Left or right, right or wrong,
the information only comes second,
to the intent and meaning of their sickly, siren songs.

They don't care about informing,
or even misinforming the masses,
they seek only to imbue you with uncertainty.
So they can continue without warning

So they continue,
to imbue you,

With hopelessness,
with fear,
with sorrow,
with powerlessness.

They have been perfecting their dark arts,
for centuries,
but since the days of

Edward Louis Bernays,
Their power and craft,
has increased tenfold.

It is important to be informed,
but as Voltaire said,
"One must tend one's own garden"

we let our gardens wither and die,
clutching our throats,
crying, praying, cursing the sky,
While our lives pass us by.

Take your power back,
reclaim your life.
Authentically perceive
your abilities of sight.

If something truly evokes the fire within,
but it is beyond your reach,
then you must rearrange your life,
So you can be in range to compete,

But keep in mind, as Buckminster Fuller said,
“You never change things by fighting the existing reality.
To change something, build a new model
that makes the existing model obsolete.”
and as Mckenna said,
"The idea is not to confront bad ideas
but to come up with good ideas.
Otherwise, your enemies define the game
and you are eternally the loyal opposition."

Autumn Equinox

Sweet Autumn,
How I've missed your scent.
My skin bathes In your crisp kisses,
In your sweet air.

Let the leaves fall,
Let the bounty of summer sleep.
I awake in the quake of your Darkness.
Ready, to go far.

As the buzz of summer fades,
I embrace your stillness,
your silence.
There, I find the hum.

I close my eyes,
and your darkness,
reveals my light.

I am open to your guidance,
Show me what else to release,
what to let go of,
that which no longer serves,
I am ready to embark,
Just give me the word.

Thank you my love:
Maiden, Mother, Crone,
Thank you for all that you have
already graciously shown.

Mischief

No matter how noble your quest,
or how high your virtues,
a happy life requires large doses of mischief.

The Tower:

I am the tower.
No matter my intent.
It all falls,
It always falls.

NOW!

I have to do it now.
Before I get too old,
too fat,
too lazy,
too scared,
too comfortable.
I have to see the edge.
I have to live it.
See, that's the catch;
with a long enough timeline everyone dies,
and in this system,
"our" system,
most die long before your body crinkles and folds.
You die when you're "ok"
when you're "fine"
when you are grateful for your t.v and beer waiting at home,
after your bullshit,
do nothing, 9 - 5 job.
WE ARE HERE NOW
as people,
as mammals,
as animals,
and these animals are most alive when they are close to death.
Fringe moments,
peak experiences,
True Mystery.

Who knows?
Maybe It's inevitable.
Maybe one day I'll welcome domestication with open arm as if it were a warm lover.
Like a man welcomes death after a long hard life,
But I fear that with every letter written with this pen,
I get closer to being too old,
too fat,
too lazy,
too scared and too damn comfortable to actually live.
TO LIVE!
To live with impact,
intensity,
To live by my rules,
no rules.
To see the edge,
to dance there,
to dangle over the edge with only my own hand holding the scruff of my shirt,
holding me back from falling into oblivion.
MORE NOVELTY!
LESS NOSTALGIA!

Habit

Habit is overcome by Habit.

Fate

Four things can change the fate of a man:
Charity,
Prayer,
Change of name,
Change of action.

Persistence

Persistence is a process of constant renewal.

Prowl

I Am The Jaguar who stalks through the valley of Death,
and I fear no evil.
