They Will Fail

 They will fail because they think they know the law the of the jungle.
They think, might makes right,
that subterfuge is a delight,
but they are wrong.

The rules of the jungle, the law of all nature,
is not power,
but balance.

Even the fiercest of beasts respects this wisdom,
to do otherwise,
only brings one's own demise.

They will turn on each other.
They will refuse to take what council they have left.
Their hubris and perceived invulnerability,
will be the very downfall of their being.

The public,
their previous preachers,
will then turn on them,
and eachother...


...torn all to pieces...

 And now the wolves have come.
Fright and Frenzy and Fanaticism 
Fill the air of their Foul and Foolish Feast.

The doe has been wounded for so long,
How were we even able to go on?

But now the smell of blood is in the air,
and the wolves will not be satiated
until all the doe's entrails become undone,
the consumption of a nation...

"We should have seen it coming..."
"How could they let this happen?"

The ignorant chorus of history,
is just vapid repetition.
