Communities of Belief

 Do you believe the world is flat?
There's a group for that.
Do you believe the sky is a lie?
There's a group for that.
Do you believe that reptilian-shapeshifting-aliens walk beside you and I?
Yeah, there's a group for that.

No matter how strange, twisted, confounding, or irrational an idea,
there is already an echo chamber,
cocked, locked, and loaded,
ready to dose ya,
over 20 times a day.

Why do you believe what you believe?

What do you believe today that you believed 3 years ago?

5 years ago?
10?

Do you see?
If you do, then why do you choose to believe?

I don't mean to put down belief,
it is a powerful tool...
but when used inadequately,
it makes you,
your own fool.
It builds and binds and blinds the mind.

But when used with finesse,
belief is the fuel for all great works,
but watch out,
for it is volatile,
and you may find,
that you yourself,
have become the fire.
