"THEY HAVE COME"

Mass media: tv, movies, songs, books that hit a certain amount of exposure have a strange way of foretelling events. The Simpsons being one of the most popularly identified vehicles for such things. Many have said that the hit show 24 having the president that it did, either helped, fueled, or foretold the coming rise of Barack Obama.

I grew up on superheros... when I graduated, my father asked me what I wanted, and I said i wanted his boxes of old yellowed comic books.

There is a power in those series of squares, and interfacing of imagination and image which is not experienced in other forms.

I've been thinking a lot about the rise and dominance of the marvel movies.. Growing up, interest in these things would make you an easy target, immediately ostracized as a "nerd".

Don't get me wrong, I'm not sour about it, I'm just curious what it means, or what it could be revealing from our collective unconscious...

Even a brief google or wiki search will show that the first cloning studies started taking place in the late 1800's.

By the 1970's we were rolling with genetic engineering by means of controlling and manipulating genetic expression.

By 2003 we had 92% of the human genome sequenced.

and finally in 2020 we reached 100%.

What if our current captivation with these myths and stories are a foretelling of what is to come (sooner rather than later)

Doing a search on companies investing or researching both AI and genetics is.. strange and concerning.

Did you know that radiation was a fundamental part of sequencing the genome?

How many of our superheros have an origin story which involves radiation, genetic experimentation, or advanced artificial intelligence?

It would then seem most likely, that the first (and perhaps only) people to utilize the coming coherence of these field would be those with the greatest wealth and influence.

Their offspring would be guaranteed positions of power and influence.

We stopped believing in God, and instead it seems we are hellbent on creating our own.
